The INTELLIGENT SWITCHING solution by Alosys Communications S.r.l. has been designed and developed to allow a rapid spread of Value-Added Services (VAS) in town and city centres using existing public-lighting systems, according to the so-called SMART CITY’s principles.

Alosys Switch

It is the main device of the Intelligent Switching solution by Alosys Communications S.r.l. that allows the power collection from the three-phase network of the public lighting system.

Smart Box

The Smart Box is a box with an IP67 protection degree designed to be easily located inside the electrical box next to the street light, that besides making it extremely easy to install, ensures operational security to enable the maintenance technician to carry out an easy, fast and safe activity.

Radio Module

It is a device designed and developed by Alosys, able to transmit and manage information concerning consumed energy values, voltage, current and cos(ϕ) of VAS devices. The transmission is carried out via GSM/GPRS/Wifi. This compact device is designed to be positioned at the top of the street light. The module is made of a distribution system, for connections to the several VAS devices, and of the real Radio module.

Management Remote Center ESTER

It is the management remote centre with an Open Source software platform, responsible for the collection, processing and displaying of the specific data coming from the different Radio Modules present along the various systems where added value devices are located. ESTER front-end side is developed as a web-based software that uses the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern, very common in software development and able to separate the presentation logic from the business and processing one.
